La Aurora cigars are celebrating milestones in their blending history by releasing two new cigars to the European and US markets. The 1962 Corojo and 1987 Connecticut have the name of the tobacco variety used for the wrapper of the respective cigar along with the year in which La Aurora began blending with that specific tobacco leaf.
The 1962 Corojo cigar hails the company’s 54 years of blending with corojo wrapper leaf. The blend consists of an Ecuadoran binder and additional filler tobacco from Cibao Valley, as well as Nicaragua.
The Connecticut 1987 features a shade-grown Connecticut wrapper with a Dominican binder and a mix of Nicaraguan and Dominican filler, making these cigars one to sample among aficionados with an interest in the history surrounding their cigars.
Both of these limited new cigars come in four sizes in boxes of 20 and range in price from £8 to £10 per cigar.
