A unique celebration of the 130th anniversary of Orient Express, this outstanding limited edition fountain pen by S.T. Dupont draws its marvelous beauty from the combination of sparkling blue lacquer, delightful mother of pearl shade and palladium finish. The engraved nib is made of 18K white gold.
The S.T Dupont Orient Express Prestige Ligne 2 Lighter is a homage to the long distance train service that ran for 126 years. Ensuring connections between Paris, Vienna, and Istanbul, this Limited Edition is a beautiful representation of a timeless classic. With this exceptional limited series, S.T. Dupont pays tribute to that most famous and mythical of trains, the Orient Express. Inaugurated in 1883 under the name of "Express of east", it connects Paris to Constantinople, serving several European cities along the way. It is an emblem of the industrial revolution, but has also become a symbol of freedom and modernity.
This stylish Ligne 2 Lighter has hand-engraved details on each side of the lighter, including the Orient Express signature. The midnight blue lacquer evokes the distinctive colors of the Orient express trains. It is enhanced by a blue-silver powder and a placed lacquer effect, whose medallion shape symbolizes the stained-glass window visible from the outside of the train, and is highlighted by a piece of mother-of-pearl on the front of the lighter.
Inspired by Second Empire style furniture, S.T. Dupont offers this exceptional Line 2 masterpiece. The product is finely engraved, evoking the delicate floral marquetry patterns characteristic of the 1870's period. The lighter is decorated with a beautiful hand-sculpted bronze piece, inspired by Second Empire furniture legs. The central medallion, also hand-sculpted, is adorned with the D&D signature as a tribute to Lucien and Andre Tissot Dupont who created the brand in 1872.
