I have bought from Havana House before so know how good they are, I have used their shop in Bath where I bought some Frederick Tranter’s Gaelic Mixture Pipe Tobacco and some others. My wife has used the online service to buy some Peterson Holiday Season pipe tobacco. The Holiday Season 2015 is probably the best tobacco I have ever had; I have done a review on this already. This is the only tobacco which smells and tastes the same. This latest order of which I got 50g of American Coffee Caramel Pipe Tobacco and 50g of Frederick Tranter’s Gaelic Mixture came very quickly, very well packaged with no trouble at all.
I have two tobacco’s I like and always buy from EA Cary’s but Cary’s don’t do a coffee tobacco.
This review is on the Frederick Tranter’s Gaelic Mixture.
I was using my Peterson K Briar my most expensive and favourite pipe to smoke this tobacco.
It’s got a fantastic aroma in the packet and it is a slow burner, unlike EA Cary’s Coconut mix which burns really fast. The nicotine is not great with this tobacco. The coffee and chocolate flavours are subtly you get more of the flavours when you retro breathe. I can defiantly taste the whisky in the tobacco. I have to say it’s a good smoke but I don’t think it’s as good as the American Coffee Caramel Pipe Tobacco from Havana House. You can smoke this right to ash and if anything the flavours increase towards the end.
I am looking at a tobacco I can add to my rotation. I have two from EA Cary’s and always like Condor, I have 100g of the Peterson Holiday Season 2015 on the go but I just needed a coffee/caramel one. You know what’s it like when you just need a bar of chocolate, well I am the same with the need for a good coffee/caramel tobacco.
It’s cheaper to buy a large quantity so my next order will be a bigger quantity than 50g (2 x 25g as they don’t sell it in 50g pouches)
Check out my review on American Coffee Caramel.
Keep on smoking, kind regards George
