Rattray’s Accountants Mixture is a colourful tobacco of contrasting black and golden brown leaf. Black Cavendish, Latakia and Virginia come together to give earthy citrus notes and some light sugary sweetness with a gentle smoking from the sparingly added Latakia. It smokes well, behaving as a good tobacco should, burning fairly cool and slow, without tongue bite and with plenty of flavours to explore. The ribbon mixture is dependable, and accurately reproduces the experience every time you smoke it, though not to say it’s boring, it doesn’t have any unpleasant surprises.
