Davidoff cigars are a staple of any cigar aficionado’s humidor as they are mild yet full of flavour and aromas that have become much loved by cigar lovers everywhere.
Now the iconic brand are set to release a new set of cigars called the Davidoff Royal Release which will come in two sizes; a Royal Release Robusto (5 1/2 x 55) and Royal Release Salomones (8 1/4 x 57).
For a Davidoff cigar buff those sizes will sound familiar, as Davidoff has previously used those sizes in their hugely popular Royal Robusto and Royal Salomones.
For the sceptical cigar smoker you needn’t worry, this is not just a new look or a coy marketing ploy, this new release will see the use of Aromatica Dominicana, a tobacco that is exclusive to the Royal Release.
This special tobacco was selected by picking out only the finest bales before letting it age for 8 years and longer, depending on the individual bale’s own maturing process. Incredibly there were only 8 rollers making these cigars, and each roller had a minimum of 15 years’ experience between them, with the rollers estimating that they have rolled an astonishing
The cigars will be released next month in the US before making their way across the pond. Prices are estimated at £120 for the Royal Release Robusto and £150 for the Royal Release Salomones, making for a cigar that will be hugely appealing for a true cigar connoisseur.
As with such a luxurious new release each box will come with a certificate signed by Henke Kelner as well as the two rollers who produced the cigars.
