Cigar giant Oettinger Davidoff has unveiled its new line of long filler cigars, Cusano Dominican Maduro, which are set to be released this spring.
The master blenders at Davidoff have used a Mexican Negro San Andrés wrapper, a Connecticut Ecuador binder and finished the cigar with Dominican filler tobaccos. It will be available in three formats, Robusto (5 x 50), Churchill (7 x 48), and Toro Gordo (6 x 60).
Due to the dark and oily nature of the Mexican Maduro wrapper you will find sweet notes when smoking this cigar. To go with those sweet notes you will taste hints of woodiness, earthiness and that rich coffee taste that is found when smoking Dominican filler tobaccos. In the final third, spicy notes will prevail making this is a well-balanced cigar that will provide a highly enjoyable smoking experience.
Charles Awad, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing & Innovation at Oettinger Davidoff AG had this to say about their new release: “With the release of this new Cusano Dominican Maduro range, we aim to delight aficionados looking for a fine maduro cigar at great value.”
The cigars come in a beautifully classic wooden cabinet box with each cigar featuring an impactful ring design that Davidoff has become known for.
This Davidoff Cusano Dominican Maduro cigar range will be available in the USA as of April 2016, and making its way across the Atlantic shortly after.
