The name Dunhill is always associated with luxury tobacco goods and fine quality cigars with a history that dates back over 120 years. But did you know they didn’t put the Dunhill name on a cigar until 1989, when the name appeared on a Dominican cigar made by British American Tobacco, which still has rights to Dunhill today.
With the new release, Dunhill cigars are putting their name, for the first time, on a cigar style they haven’t done before, a Maduro.
The Dunhill Aged Maduro Short Robusto is part of their ‘Aged Range’. The new cigar boasts a sun grown Ligero Maduro wrapper from an undisclosed country, as well as a Nicaraguan binder using filler tobacco from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. This new cigar will come in three smaller sizes; Marevas (5 1/8 x 42, £7.25), Short Robusto (4 x 54, £8.25) and Short Churchill (5 1/2 x 54, £9.00) with each being released in 10-count boxes and in regular production.
With this cigar, you can expect notes of dark berries, jam and pencil wood from the first light with hints of oak and pepper coming through, perfect for the morning when enjoying a cup of coffee.
