While Oscar Valladares first launched his namesake company in 2012, the brand’s story starts much earlier.
Oscar Valladares is a company created by a group of people with a love for the Honduran cigar scene. Oscar’s love for cigars started when he operated tours of Rocky Patel’s facilities, and his passion soon earned him a job at the famous cigar maker. Supported by other industry experts he met during his time at Rocky Patel, particularly General Cigar veteran Bayron Duarte, Oscar Valladares eventually launched his brand.
Unlike some other upstarts to emerge from New World countries, Oscar Valladares was launched by nationals and for nationals. Their first few cigars were specifically made to tap into local interests and tastes, and it wasn’t until they achieved regional success that they were discovered by larger American and European markets.
As a result, Oscar Valladares’ cigars have an incredible authenticity, making them a wonderful premium smoke that has something to offer even the purest aficionado.
