Villiger have relaunched an old favourite

Villiger cigars are one of the leading cigar manufacturers in the world, selling over half a billion cigars every year in over fifty countries! At this year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, Villiger cigars announced that they would begin a national and international relaunch of their much loved ‘Villiger 1888’ blend that was first rolled out back in 2009. Aficionados will notice a brand new red and gold motif as well as re-blend of the 2010 limited edition release that celebrated the company’s 100th anniversary in Germany.

The new reboot boasts an Ecuadorian wrapper, Mexican binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua in which you’ll find notes of caramel, freshly roasted coffee and dried fruit before finishing with floral and pepper notes.

It is being released in five sizes; Corona (6 x 43), Robusto (4 7/8 x 50), Toro (6 x 50,), Torpedo (6 x 52,) and Toro Gordo (6 x 60,) with each of the sizes coming in boxes of 20 that are produced in the ABAM Cigars S.R.L. factory in the Dominican Republic.
