The Beginning
The VegaFina 1998 VF 52 started with notes of earth, cedar, natural tobacco, and fruit sweetness. Towards the latter part, the tobacco, cedar, and fruit notes emerged as the main primary notes. The earth receded into the background and was joined by a hint of pepper.
The Middle
During the middle of the VegaFina 1998 VF 52, the cedar, natural tobacco, and fruit sweetness rotated in intensity. Deeper into this stage of the smoke, the fruit sweetness played less of a role and started transitioning to a background note.
The End
The end of the cigar didn’t have much of a change as the tobacco and cedar remained in the forefront. The fruit, earth, and pepper remained in the background.

Burn & Draw
While there was an amount of sharpness on the burn line, the VegaFina 1998 VF 52 maintained a straight burn from start to finish. Both the burn rate and burn temperature were ideal for the perfect smoking experience.
The draw to the VegaFina 1998 VF 52 performed well. This was a cigar that had a touch of resistance on the draw and I love that.
Overall
I would describe the VegaFina 1998 as an elegant smoke that had a medium-bodied profile and smooth flavour and aroma transitions. I especially enjoyed the continued development of the fruit, pepper and earthiness. This is certainly Cigar of the Month worthy.

What alcoholic drink would I pair the VegaFina 1998 VF 52 Robusto with?
The VegaFina 1998 VF 52 Robusto will pair fantastically with the Indri Trini Three Wood Indian Single Malt Single Malt Indian Whisky (70cl / 46%).
