Are you looking to indulge in some New World cigars? If so, we are pleased to invite you to an exciting event showcasing the best of New World Cigars at the Angel & Greyhound, a smart tavern with open fires and a leafy patio garden, plus a seasonal comfort food menu.
This fantastic cigar event in the heart of Oxford is on Thursday 27th July 2017 at 6.30pm and will run until 9:30pm, but an impromptu herf may carry on until the early hours.
The Venue address is: 30 St Clement’s St, Oxford OX4 1AB
Your ticket will include a choice of two highly rated New World cigars, where you can choose from the following:
Alec Bradley Black Market Robusto – This 4-country blend is jam-packed with Jamastran, Honduras and Panamanian long-fillers, capped off by a lively Sumatra binder and powerful Nicaraguan wrapper leaf. Upon first lighting, the blend burns with purpose. Unique and satisfying arrays of flavours greet your palate, as spice, pepper, and peaty undertones finish the ensemble. With a long dry finish and slow burn, the Black Market cigar is a finger burner.
Joya Black Robusto – The Joya Black certainly lives up to its name in looks, with a dark, rough, oily wrapper that’s finished off with a striking black and blue label. On the nose, you’ll get hints of earth, leather, musty hay and a touch of smoky, old wood. Once lit the cigar has tasting notes of bold spice up front, followed by sweet fruits, cocoa, hazelnut and a touch of aged wood and pepper in the background.
My Father Le Bijou 1922 Petit Robusto – Bijou is French for Jewel, and this cigar can certainly be considered a gem! Rich, full-bodied and in the typical Pepin Garcia form. Featuring an Ecuadorian-grown Habano Oscuro wrapper and a healthy mix of Nicaraguan long-fillers, Le Bijou 1922 exudes a robust array of flavours delivered in a remarkably smooth fashion. Complex, unique and satisfying – the Garcia Family’s new star! This is not a cigar to look past. In 2015 the cigar received the cigar of the year award along with a ridiculous 97 rating.
