Friday Cigar Club at The Windsor Lounge: 13th October

For those who are already becoming patrons of our Friday Cigar Club at The Windsor Lounge and those who are yet to attend, we offer you a warm welcome to what will be a fantastic event on Friday 13th October.

As with the last event, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to relax and enjoy an evening of tasting and pairing many cigars, alcoholic beverages and coffee, all within the comfort and warmth of our Windsor establishment.

You will be able to sample some eclectic fineries; we shall be pairing the cigar of the year, the La Flor Dominicana Andalusian Bull, with the world-renowned cognac, HINE. We will also be giving the opportunity to try Craft Coffee House from our very own courtyard coffee shop.

For those of you who have yet to try HINE, it is a remarkable Cognac that comes from one of the oldest Cognac Houses in the community of Jarnac. Hine has been producing many world-class VSOPs and XOs since 1763.

For those who are not well versed on Cognacs, here are some interesting facts. All cognac must be produced from the specific region of France, as initially set out by a decree in 1909. The six crus that can produce cognac grapes are Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, Fins Bois, Bon Bois and Bois a Terroir. The grape juice from which the cognac is distilled from must also be grown within the Cognac appellation.

Additionally, a genuine cognac must be distilled twice in a copper Charentes Still and then aged in either French oak casks or a cask that has previously contained Cognac Eaux de vie for at least two years.

As with all Friday Cigar Clubs, we want you to take the opportunity to try something new and exciting. On the night, we shall be providing incredible discounts on our products; as well as facilitating the essential part of any cigar evening, a space for fellow cigar enthusiasts to congregate, swap tasting notes, stories and create new bonds.
